Director's Message

It is an honor to be named the new Director of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts and Secretary to the Judicial Conference of the United States. I am thankful to the Chief Justice for his faith in me. It is also a great opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Judge Roslynn R. Mauskopf, who was an outstanding leader for the branch.

Under her leadership in 2023, the Judicial Conference and its committees and judges and staff across the courts and the AO continued mission critical initiatives. Judge Mauskopf was instrumental in efforts to enhance the branch’s physical and information technology security and to modernize the Judiciary’s IT systems, including the case management and electronic case filing system and the probation and pretrial services case tracking system. The Judiciary also continued vital work to foster an exemplary workforce across the court system, and it made important strides in implementing the Vulnerability Management Program as judges and their families continued to cope with external threats.

Many of these initiatives will go far in shaping the Judiciary’s future. I look forward to working with the judges, court executives, and staff to deliver excellence in the pursuit of justice for all.
