Oct. 30 Livestream Hearing: Proposed Changes to Judicial Conduct Code and Rules

A public hearing on the proposed changes to the Code of Conduct for U.S. Judges and the Judicial Conduct and Disability Rules will be available by livestream, beginning at 9 a.m. EDT on Oct. 30, 2018.

The changes under consideration respond to recommendations in the June 1, 2018 report of the Federal Judiciary Workplace Conduct Working Group.

The daylong public hearing will be conducted by the Judicial Conference’s committees on Codes of Conduct and Judicial Conduct and Disability, at the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building, in Washington, D.C.

The committees also will accept public comments submitted by email until Nov. 13, 2018. Learn more about the commenting requirements, and about the proposed changes. Video on demand will be available at the livestream link after the hearing is concluded.
