New Defendants, New Responsibilities: Preventing Suicide among Alleged Sex Offenders in the Federal Pretrial System

The authors focus on a group that appears to be at higher risk of suicide than the general population--sex defendants on pretrial supervision at the federal level. They direct attention to the need to collect more data to reformulate policies and practices that create more effective interventions for defendants at risk for suicide in the community.
