Pono Kaulike isa pilot program in Hawaii for people who plead guilty to criminal offenses, the people hurt by the crimes, and their supporters that evolved to apply solution-focused brief therapy for groups and for people who meet individually with facilitators without the participation of other parties. The authors reviewed those involved in this program between 2002 and 2007 to see how participants viewed restorative interventions that did not require face-to-face meetings among all of the involved parties. The authors also compare recidivism results between offenders in Pono Kaulike and a control group.
