Abstract:
This article discusses the variety of complex factors that have influenced the slow but steady increase in supervisees being revoked, including illegal aliens subject to supervision who are deported and then revoked after they illegally re-enter the United States, increase in the size of the supervisee population generally, worsening criminogenic risk profile of the supervision population, and advances in technology that have made officers more effective in detecting noncompliance.
