Abstract:
The author summarizes results of a survey of federal probation chiefs on their judge-involved supervision programs. This survey is part of a larger effort by the Federal Judicial Center, at the request of the Judicial Conference Committee on Criminal Law, to study the operations and cost-effectiveness of judge-involved reentry programs modeled on state and local drug and reentry courts.
