Pretrial Diversion: The Overlooked Pretrial Services Evidence-Based Practice

Pretrial Diversion (PTD) was not implemented in the federal judiciary under its current form until passage of the Pretrial Services Act of 1982. Since then, this program has largely failed to gain and maintain momentum. The authors attempt to offer evidence of the worth of an often overlooked program.
