Position Description

The senior programmer analyst performs professional work related to designing, modifying, and adapting existing software for the court’s Case Management/Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) system, as well as other nationally developed applications using Perl and Java with Informix, mySQL, and HTML script languages. The incumbent will be responsible for routine database and application server maintenance, application software installation and tuning, system troubleshooting, and end-user support. The duties may also include writing code and meeting with end-users (supervisors, managers, executives, and judges) to analyze their needs and to implement software solutions. The court operates on a multi-hardware and operating systems platform environment that includes Linux, Windows, desktops, laptops, and servers.

Qualifications

Minimum four years of specialized experience in web-based application development, administration of supporting database software, operating systems, server platforms, and the following environments/languages: Perl, Java, C#, SQL, HTML, DHTML, and Informix is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university is required. The knowledge of the following environments/languages: CM/ECF and/or NextGen, Coldfusion, CSS, Drupal, and Visual FoxPro is preferred. Applicants must be detail-oriented, possess excellent problem-solving skills and have the ability to work with multiple software applications in a fast-paced environment.
