| Overview of the Position: | The U.S. Probation Office, District of Arizona has an opening for an intensive supervision specialist in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Intensive Supervision Specialist (ISS) position, in addition to performing the functions of a line officer, will primarily be responsible for supervising a high-risk caseload. The ISS caseload may also include persons under supervision with special problems, such as organized crime, protected witnesses, sex offenders, violent/gang persons under supervision, or severe drug/alcohol or mental health persons under supervision. The incumbent acts as a resident authority in a variety of specialized areas such as drug and alcohol treatment, mental health treatment, intensive supervision or special persons under supervision programs. The specialist develops and implements specialized service programs and evaluates the effectiveness of these programs. |
