Since a 1999 "Looking at the Law" artice by David Adair on self-incrimination in post-conviction supervision, a number of federal cases have further clarified the Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination in the context of post-conviction supervision. The author provides an update of federal case law over the past decade, with specific guidance for officers interviewing offenders.
