Overview of the Position: The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California is accepting applications for the position of Financial Deputy. This position is located in the Clerk’s Office and reports to the Financial Supervisor. Financial Deputies assist in performing and coordinating administrative, technical, and professional work related to financial and accounting activities of the Court, including ensuring compliance with the appropriate guidelines, policies, and internal controls. Financial Deputies perform financial transactions and maintain required records, in accordance with the Court policies and approved internal controls.

Position Description

Qualification

To qualify for CL-25, the candidate must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to work at CL-24.

Specialized experience is defined as progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience that provided knowledge of the rules, regulations, practices, and principles of financial administration and/or accounting; and involved the routine use of automated financial and accounting systems or other computer-based systems and applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, or databases.
